Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2010

The nude structured dress is perfection - those bows are so cute!

Valentino's signature red

The latest Valentino Haute Couture collection is definitely more wearable couture than the other designer's collections. I love the couture shows because it is an opportunity for fashion to run wild, without financial constraints or the question of whether an outfit could actually be worn in public. In saying that, it's also nice to see a collection where you can look at that and think "I'd where that to a party". Valentino's collection is out there enough with its exaggerated proportions and structure silhouettes, but the colours bring it back down to earth - muted tones, white, black, with a hint of signature Valentino red. I love the use of sheer fabrics and the bow details, on both the outfits and those adorable point shoes. The looks are luxurious while remaining classic and elegant.
