Russh Magazine #35

I always get excited about the release of the next issue of Russh because I know it will be filled with fabulous clothes, amazing photography and interesting articles. I love it because it isn't your average fashion mag, as its more on the alternate side, combing new with old. Russh focuses on Australian designers and presents them in a way they can compete on an international stage. I was pleased to find the editorial featuring Brazilian model, Alessandra Ambrosio, while flicking through the magazine over a skinny latte last week. Alessandra looks fantastic in her role as a fashionista wondering the iconic backstreets of NY City. The pics are filled with movement, as if you can feel the wind rushing through the streets and whirling Alessandra's clothes around. As is evident from the content of my blog, I'm an enormous fan of black and white fashion photography, and this shoot is a perfect example of the beauty of photographing feminine, white, flowing clothes, against the far more harsh & rough city backstreets.
